Coping techniques / Relaxation skills : Learning how to ground and regulate your body and mind is essential to get through stressful moments and the challenges of life. Some of those techniques are through breath work, mindfulness practices, awareness exercises, tension release movements, thought revisions/control, and more.
Organization of life pillars (relationships, work/school, health/body, marriage, spirituality) : Life can’t be balanced in the sense of splitting everything down the middle with equal time and love, but what can be created is taking a look at all your like pillars and seeing what it would look like if all of them had the appropriate amount of love and attention in them. Stress can come from when we are not or when we neglecting certain pillars. Addressing this common issue can help decrease stress.
Value setting : Getting clear on values can help reduce stress due to it having an impact on clarity of what your time goes into, how to show up for others, what boundaries you should set, and when to say yes and no to things or people.
Time management: Ineffective time management skills can directly affect our stress levels, leaving us constantly running from task to task, adding on our already long to do list, and not really being present to experience any of it. Working on proper time management skills can have a drastic impact on the reduction of stress and daily function.
Communication: Poor communication skills and stress are highly correlated. When we cannot effectively express our experience to others we have more conflict, lack of needs being met, and have a harder time getting our day to day complete.
