About Emma Guerra
As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I love working with teens, families, couples, and individuals navigating life’s challenges. Whether it’s burnout, stress, anxiety, depression, relational issues, or a major life transition that’s got you feeling stuck, I’m here to sit with you, listen, and then help you find your way forward. I believe that we are relational beings that should not have to go through life alone!
I’m a curious, collaborative, and holistic therapist, which means I’m always interested in understanding the full picture of who you are—your past, present, and what you want for your future. I blend psychodynamic therapy (because sometimes it helps to understand why you do the things you do), somatic care (because your body has a lot to say, whether you’re listening or not), and DBT (because let’s face it, we could all use better coping skills). Together, we’ll work on creating the right balance to help you feel more grounded, understood, and prepared to take steps towards your goals.
I aim to create a space that’s both professional and a little bit lighthearted—because therapy doesn’t have to be all heavy all the time. I’m here to support you with empathy, respect, and maybe even a few laughs along the way. If you’re ready to experience real growth and genuine support, I would love to meet with you.
Some common concerns that I can help to address include the following:
Teens (Ages 13-18)
Self-harm/Suicidal Ideations
Young adults
LGBTQIA+
Couples
Families
